Opera Mini, Opera Software’s new browser for mobile phones has reached two million mobile web surfers around the globe. Generating over four million daily page views from Opera Mini users alone. Using innovative compression technology the Opera Mini is able to reduce the file sizes of websites signifigantly.
CEO, Jon S. von Tetzchner, Opera Software says “Opera Mini is making a big impact on the entire mobile value chain. We are also seeing a lot of interest from mobile content providers, online newspapers and companies, such as Pricerunner.com, that want to give their users mobile access to their Web sites and services.”
T-Mobile began offering Opera Mobile in late 2005, and the mobile browser gives users mobile surfers better freedom around the internet. Which subsequentially generates more revenue for the mobile service provider. An average subscriber is reported to browse roughly 330 internet pages a month.
