Nokia N77 Mobile TV Cellular Phone
 bluetooth , Camera-Phone , EDGE , mobile-tv , Nokia , UK

This is a mobile TV device that utilizes DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting - Handheld) and it works like the same TV that you would see with a normal cable provider. There is a very well designed navigational interface for browsing different channels, and really has very good video quality. Not only that but it is a very well suited multimedia device capable of MP3 playback and taking pictures as well.
Features of the Nokia N77:
- Music playback support for MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA
- 2 Megapixel camera
- VGA Video capable calls
- Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) plus WCDMA 2100 and EDGE
- 240 px x 320 px Screen size QVGA w/ Ambient Light Detector
Of course the Nokia n77 will only work in countries with full DVB-H coverage, which is mainly in Europe. However this is an underlying problem that needs to be addressed in the U.S. market. It is not efficient to have mediocre mobile TV services under different providers set up everywhere, and I think the mobile networks should unite together in order to provide 100% coverage across the entire globe. Albeit a utopian concept perhaps, yet I think it will be a big hurdle for mobile networks to acheive without strict consolidation or sharing of networks.
Anyway I still like the Nokia n77, and I think the way the phone works when in full service is fantastic. It is priced moderatly at €370. Europeans will find this phone to serve them very well. But us yanks still have a lot of ground to cover before our mobile TV phones will ever be truely mobile.
